God is not human...God is something beyond our imagination...
Taken from the holy Quraan: "Say! He is God, the One! The Eternally Besought of all! He does not beget, nor is He begotten. And there is nothing comparable to Him." I hope that answers your curiosity a little. |

God is a spirit in Christianity? I thought that there was more to your god i.e. a father?, a holy spirit? and god's child?

pamela sister.. as in christianity God is like human...that is wot is mentioned in bible as God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. for you it is ok to say that he is in human form as according to bible the Jesus is the God/son of god. and God created human in his figure. so you can say that he can be human also.
but For us he is super natural power that is capable to do anything beyond our imagination and it can be any thing. The point is that Allah does not exist in the world unlike material objects or physical beings. Allah's existence transcends the world of space and time, as it is He Who has created not only all the objects and beings of the world, but also all the laws of space and time governing material and temporal existence. In other words, Allah is beyond the limits and constraints of space and time and so He is not subject to the physical rules and norms that determine the nature of things and beings in the visible world. We can view the issue from another angle. If everything in the universe needs a cause, then Allah also needs a cause. It is important to note here that everything in the universe has a beginning; it is because of this that everything needs a cause, whereas Allah does not have a beginning and He does not need a cause. Einstein has shown that time is the fourth dimension contiguous with space. In other words, we live in a world that is a space-time continuum. And as Allah is the Creator of time as well as space, He is not limited either by space or time, so He has no beginning in time. Therefore, He does not have a cause. Also, there is enough evidence that the universe had a beginning. This can be shown from the laws of thermodynamics, the most fundamental laws of the physical sciences. taken from http://www.islamic-shield.com/2007/12/who-created-allah-swt-reply-2.html Posted by TurnToIslam MuslimUmmah

God was an old man with a long beard that already died long time ago.

1..in the name of Allah(God),the Gracious,the Merciful.
2..all praise belongs to Allah, lord of all the worlds, 3..the Gracious, the Merciful, 4..Master of the day of judgment. 5..Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help. 6..guide us in the right path— 7..the path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred Thy displeasure, and those who have not gone asrtray. ====================================================== #ONE (1).IN THE NAME OF ALLAH,THE GRACIOUS,THE MERCIFUL.(2).SAY,`HE IS ALLAH, THE ONE ;(3).ALLAH, THE INDEPENDENT AND BESOUGHT OF ALL.(4).'HE BEGETS NOT,NOR IS HE BEGOTTEN;(5).AND THERE IS NONE LIKE UNTO HIM. `#TWO(1). IN THE NAME OF ALLAH,THE GRACIOUS,THE MERCIFUL .(2).SAY,`I SEEK REFUGE IN THE LORD OF DAWN,(3).`FROM THE EVIL OF THAT WHICH HE HAS CREATED,(4).`AND FROM THE EVIL OF THE NIGHT WHEN IT OVERSPREADS,(5).`AND FROM THE EVIL OF THOSE WHO BLOW INTO KNOTS, 6).`AND FROM THE EVIL OF THE ENVIER WHEN HE ENVIES.` #THREE (1). IN THE NAME OF ALLAH,THE GRACIOUS,THE MERCIFUL .(2). Every light that is seen, be it high or low, whether it belongs to souls or pertains to bodies, or be it substantive, or attributive, whether hidden or evident, be it subjective or objective, it is a mere bounty of His Grace. He is the source of all Grace and is the ultimate cause of every light, the Fountain-head of all mercies. His being is the support of the universe and the refuge of all, high and low. He it is who brought everything out of tاhe darkness of nothingness and bestowed upon everything the mantle of being. He exists by itself; all other beings are recipients of His grace.
